Easy readable, awesome textbook

International Crime and Justice By Mangai Natarajan is a very eloquently written book. This book covers both, international and transnational crimes that have not been the focus of mainstream criminology. Mangai Natarajan is a professor in the department of Criminal Justice, at my school, at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Part one of this textbook covers the field of international criminology including: the globalization of crime, migration and crime, women and international criminal justice, culture and crime, and more. Part two puts emphasis on chapters like: legal traditions, punishment philosophies and practices around the world, cross-national measures of punitiveness, and other topics related to law, punishment and crime control philosophies. Part three is perhaps my favorite part in this textbook. Part three, which epitomizes transnational crime topics include: drug trafficking, trafficking of stolen vehicles, the illegal cigarette trade, cybercrime, maritime crime, corruption, etc. Part four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine discuss organized crime and terrorism, international crime, international justice, international cooperation and criminal justice, international research and crrime statistics, and international research resources.
