Best perspective for organizations

It is hard to determine a perspective for an organization. In order to develop value the best method may very well be attention to stakeholders. This book shares the history of the notion of Stakeholder Theory and attributes the progress in the development of the theory to the academicians involved. By review of that history one can understand how the idea is not just customer service.

I found this book to be an overly technical treatment of the subject. It lacked a broad definition of stakeholder theory.
